Saudi Cabinet Approves Unified National Visa Platform

The Saudi Cabinet has approved the establishment of a Unified National Visa Platform under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, making it the Kingdom’s official platform for all visa services.
Chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, the Cabinet also approved visa exemption agreements with Hungary, Kazakhstan, and Poland for holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports.
During the session, the Cabinet reviewed Saudi Arabia’s recent international engagements, highlighting efforts to strengthen global partnerships, promote peace and security, and address shared development challenges.
The Cabinet welcomed the adoption of a Saudi-led UN Human Rights Council resolution on empowering women in cybersecurity and celebrated the Kingdom’s first-place global ranking in the 2026 ICT Development Index issued by the International Telecommunication Union, reflecting continued progress in digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence.
It also noted Saudi Arabia’s re-election as President of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization for a second consecutive term, recognising the Kingdom’s growing leadership in the regional and international aviation sector.
On the domestic front, the Cabinet highlighted the continued growth of the nonprofit sector, with more than 7,200 nonprofit organisations operating by the end of 2025 and the number of volunteers reaching 1.7 million.
The Cabinet also authorised discussions on a memorandum of understanding with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission to strengthen cooperation and information exchange in nuclear and radiological regulation.
